Toyota levert 2 miljoenste hybride in Europa
Helft van de klanten kiest voor hybridetechniek
Toyota heeft in Europa de mijlpaal van twee miljoen verkochte hybridemodellen bereikt. Wereldwijd staat de teller al op 12 miljoen semi-elektrische auto’s.
47% kiest hybride
De verkoop van hybride Toyota’s is de laatste jaren fors toegenomen. Deels door de fiscale stimuleringsmaatregelen, maar vooral vanwege de uitbreiding van het aanbod.
Inmiddels is meer dan de helft van alle personenwagens leverbaar met hybride-aandrijving en dat zie je terug in de verkoopstatistieken. In 2011 koos 10% van de Europese Toyota-klanten voor een hybride. Inmiddels is dat opgelopen tot maar liefst 47%.
Sinds de lancering van eerste generatie Toyota Prius zijn wereldwijd al 12 miljoen hybridemodellen verkocht, waarvan ruim 124.000 in Nederland. Volgens het Japanse automerk hebben al die hybrides samen gezorgd voor een CO2-besparing van 93 miljoen ton.
