Dankzij de technologie uit elektrische voertuigen en robots kan de TIGER zich op moeilijk begaanbaar terrein veel beter voortbewegen dan de beste terreinauto’s. Hyundai’s TIGER kan namelijk niet alleen rijden als een gewone auto, maar hij kan ook ‘lopen’ op moeilijk begaanbaar terrein. De Hyundai TIGER is voorzien van robotpoten die onafhankelijk van elkaar kunnen bewegen. TIGER is gebaseerd op een modulair platform waarop diverse carrosserieën voor uiteenlopende doeleinden zijn te monteren.
Transport van hulpgoederen
De TIGER is een onbemand voertuig, uitsluitend bedoeld voor vrachtvervoer. Daarom heeft hij een grote laadruimte om bijvoorbeeld hulpgoederen te brengen naar gebieden waar gebruikelijke reddingsvoertuigen niet kunnen komen.
