‘Opvolger Lamborghini Aventador wordt plug-in hybride’
Volgende generatie supercar komt in 2020
De opvolger van de Lamborghini Aventador wordt een plug-in hybride. Dat bevestigt Maurizio Reggiani, hoofd R&D bij Lamborghini, tegenover het Britse Auto Express.
Emissie-eisen worden in de toekomst alleen maar strenger. Dus zijn ook exclusieve sportwagenmerken genoodzaakt om de uitstoot van uitlaatgassen drastisch te verlagen. Elektrificatie is momenteel de meest voor de hand liggende optie. Volgens Reggiani is het geen optie om een hybride én een niet-hybridevariant te ontwikkelen. Een dergelijke exotische sportwagen wordt vanaf de grond ontwikkeld en mag geen compromis zijn. En dus komt de opvolger van de Lamborghini Aventador komt er uitsluitend als plug-in hybride. “Maar wel geheel in Lamborghini-stijl met een atmosferische (turboloze) V12-motor”, verklapte Reggiani tegenover onze Britse collega’s. De volgende generatie supercar komt naar verwachting in 2020 op de markt.

Ook Urus Hybrid onderweg
Lamborghini is al langer in de weer met hybridetechniek. Zo presenteerde het Italiaanse merk in 2014 al de Lamborghini Asterion LPI910-4: een conceptmodel met een 669 kW (910 pk) sterke plug-in hybride-aandrijflijn. Ook komt de onlangs gepresenteerde Lamborghini Urus als stekkerhybride op de markt. Naar verluidt krijgt hij dezelfde aandrijflijn als de Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
