Honda heeft een eerste foto vrijgegeven van de productieversie van de Honda Urban EV die op de Autosalon van Genève (7-17 maart) zijn werelddebuut beleeft. Het dashboard oogt vooral lekker retro.

‘Prototype’
Honda spreekt nog over een ‘elektrisch prototype geïnspireerd op de Urban EV Concept’ die in 2017 werd gepresenteerd op de IAA-autoshow in Frankfurt. Naar verwachting wijkt de productieversie nauwelijks af van de conceptcar, vooral omdat het design van het studiemodel enorm goed in de smaak viel. De oplettende kijker heeft vast al opgemerkt dat de auto in beeld is op het display. Verder valt op dat de auto geen zijspiegels heeft, maar zijcamera’s die het beeld op twee schermen in het interieur projecteren.

Een beetje zoals de Mercedes-Benz A-Klasse geeft Honda de elektrische auto een fors display waarmee alle functies van de auto te bedienen zijn. Als we beter inzoomen op het display, dan valt op dat er aan de linkerzijde van het display een toetsencluster te vinden is voor de navigatie, de persoonlijke assistent (Personal Assistant), telefoon, het EV Menu, de verkeersinformatie en tot slot de Smartphone Connection. Aan de rechterkant vinden we de toetsen voor entertainment, zoals de FM-frequenties, Bluetooth Audio, USB, HDMI (best bijzonder in een auto) en DAB alsook een toets om de aandrijvinglayout te zien.
