100.000ste stekkervoertuig afgeleverd in Nederland
Vandaag is het 100.000ste (semi-)elektrische voertuig afgeleverd in Nederland. Dat blijkt uit cijfers van de Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO), die publiceert in opdracht van het ministerie van Economische Zaken (EZ).
Van de honderdduizend elektrische voertuigen die in Nederland op kenteken gezet zijn, is het merendeel personenauto. Het gaat op dit moment om 12.196 volledig elektrische personenauto’s en 86.162 plug-in hybrides. De Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is nog altijd de meest gewilde plug-in hybride. De Tesla Model S is veruit de populairste 100% elektrische auto.
Momenteel zijn in ons land 25.405 openbare laadpunten operationeel. Daarmee behoort Nederland tot de mondiale top-vijf. De uitbreiding van de laadinfrastructuur heeft overigens wel een hoop werkgelegenheid opgeleverd. Het aantal arbeidsplaatsen in de sector nam met een kwart toe in 2014. Het aantal voltijdbanen (FTE’s) steeg dat jaar tot 3.200.
Het ministerie van Economische Zaken is nog steeds van mening dat uitbreiding van de huidige financiële ondersteuning aan consumenten niet efficiënt is, vanwege de hoge kosten en het naar verwachting beperkte effect op nieuwe kopers. Om toekomstige groei te realiseren, moeten autoproducenten via zogenoemd Europees bronbeleid verplicht worden om een groter aandeel (semi-)elektrische auto’s op de markt te brengen.
Particuliere kopers van volledig elektrische auto’s profiteren tot 2020 wel van vrijstelling van BPM en wegenbelasting.
